At this time the Telfair County boundary extended far south of the Ocmulgee River and as far as we can estimate its location, using creeks, rivers and other land marks, the line was about where Carson Lumber Coompany is located today. The line went back to the river when Coffee County was formed in 1854. Lone Hill Methodist Church, located between Broxton and West Green, in present-day Coffee County, was founded in 1848. At that time it was in Telfair County.
