When Gov. John Clark left Jacksonville, Ga., for Milledgeville to serve as governor of the state he bought a house from Gen. John Scott of Scottsboro (just outside Milledgeville). He named his working plantation "Woodville." The house has been beautifully restored to its former beauty and design by Bob and Anne Culberson. Previously, to the dismay of history buffs, it had been "modernized." Now, it is again a marvelous piece of history - well worth visiting.
